Integrating Topaz Filer With Your Systems

As an open system, Topaz Filer is designed to integrate with a wide variety of practice management systems (PMS), customer relationship management systems (CRM) and document management systems (DMS).

This schematic shows the general premise of Topaz Filer - i.e. taking the definition of your clients and matters from a database, allowing the user to interact with the filing process directly from within Microsoft Outlook and save emails in a separate store.

Out-of-the-box Topaz Filer can connect to any native SQL Server database or any database accessible out of ODBC. This allows you to connect the application up to virtually every PMS and DMS on the market.

Store Integration

A store is a location where you want to store emails. Typically this will be a document management system. Out-of-the-box Topaz Filer can work with Document Logistix DMS or can store files directly on a network share.

We offer plug-ins that extend Topaz Filer and make them work with the following DMS systems:

• Any Network File Share
• Document Logistix Document Manager

Topaz Filer is able to automatically create filing areas within the store using the store synchronisation feature.
